Dr. Carlyn Malenfant was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, spending most of her life in Anderson Township. She attended Purdue University and University of Cincinnati where she received a degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Dr. Malenfant spent two years as a chairside dental assistant in Denver, CO, where her love of the dental field continued to grow and develop.
Dr. Malenfant received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL. During school, she was awarded the AGD Senior Student Dental Award, recognizing her for going above and beyond to develop personalized patient-doctor relationships. She practiced in North Carolina after dental school, but her love for Cincinnati and its community drove her to move back home. She is excited that she now has the opportunity to serve the city where she grew up.
Dr. Malenfant enjoys providing patient-centered, comprehensive dental care for her patients. She strives to provide a comfortable experience, focusing on the patient’s goals and needs. She is passionate about continuing her education, making sure to provide exceptional, up-to-date care for every patient she sees. Dr. Malenfant is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the ADA, the Cincinnati Dental Society, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
She and her husband have four young boys at home. When she’s not improving smiles, you can find her spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Marck was born and grew up in Cincinnati , Ohio where he graduated Salutatorian from Purcell High School in 1981. He attended Xavier University where he graduated with a degree in Biology. He then went on to the Ohio State University School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1989. Following graduation, Dr. Marck completed the Commissioned Officer’s Training in the United States Air Force. He then entered the AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency program at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois. The residency covered all aspects of dentistry including, oral surgery, IV sedation, endodontics, periodontics, and complex cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Marck served 3 years at Spangdahlem Air Force base in Germany and 2 years at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri where he was the Flight Dental Officer for the 509th B2-Bomb Squadron.
Dr. Marck attends numerous continuing education courses each year, enabling him to provide the highest quality of dentistry. He also stays on the cutting edge of technology and actively integrates his knowledge in all aspects of his practice. Dr. Marck is a member of the Cincinnati Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
He strives for perfection and to provide the superior quality care that his patients and friends deserve. Dr. Marck resides in Anderson Township with his wife and daughters, Brittni and Lauren. He enjoys many interests outside of dentistry, primarily working in his yard and playing golf.
Dr. Mary Kate Herman is a Cincinnati native, born and raised on the east side. She attended St. Ursula Academy for high school and then continued on to study Biochemistry at Miami University. Dr. Herman graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky in 2017. Following graduation from dental school, she returned home to complete a one year residency in general dentistry at the University of Cincinnati. There she received further training in oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and all aspects of general dentistry.
Dr. Herman loves practicing general dentistry and especially enjoys getting to know her patients through the years. She loves working with patients to improve their smiles and restore teeth back to better health and function. Dr. Herman is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Cincinnati Dental Society, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Herman is very excited to be here at Village Dental and loves providing care to all our wonderful patients.
Outside of work, you can find Dr. Herman spending time with her husband Alex, her two young children, reading, and working on home decorating projects.
Dr. Julianna Boskus was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. During high school she competed internationally for the USA waterski teams and holds multiple Canada American Championship Titles, as well as USA team Pan American Championship and World Championship waterski titles. After high school, she moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to join and compete for the Alabama waterski team for four years. She graduated from Alabama with her Psychology degree and minors in Biology and Art while also being involved in numerous organizations including the Alabama Honors College and America’s Toothfairy. She was also a cofounder of the organization Bama Tutors for Service which connected local middle school and high schoolers with college students to serve as mentors and tutors. During her summers in college, she worked as a dental assistant which deepened her compassion for patients and understanding of the dental field.
Dr. Boskus then moved to Memphis, Tennessee to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee. While in dental school she served as the Chapter President of the American Student Dental Association for UTHSC her senior year as well as Vice President and Lunch and Learn Coordinator her previous years of dental school. She was involved in UT Esthetics Club and was a multiple time Remote Area Medical Clinic Volunteer. Her senior year she received the IMHOTEP award, given to students who have significantly contributed to student life through leadership and service.
Dr. Boskus is a nurturing and patient dentist that loves to give back to her community. She continues expanding her clinical knowledge through frequent continued education courses. She is compassionate to patients who are fearful and anxious about dental care and aims to make patients feel well taken care of and in control of their dental treatment. Dr. Boskus is currently a member of the American Dental Association and loves working at Village Dental and providing care to all our wonderful patients.
Outside of work, you can find Dr. Boskus enjoying time with her husband and their two miniature dachshunds. She loves to be on the water whenever she can. You may find her occasionally water skiing, but mostly taking her beloved dogs for walks and hikes, practicing yoga, doing crossfit and traveling.
